I’m very sorry to say that our monthly Quilt Club meetings have been postponed until it’s safe to gather in groups again. I really miss seeing all of my fellow quilters and friends!
But don’t despair, I will continue posting new blocks every month, or more frequently as the time permits! Working at home, while seemingly a great idea, has its own challenges and I’m still getting used to living and working in a “virtual office”, but very thankful to have a job!
April Star blocks for our Club Quilt are here:
Another interesting adjustment – my youngest son, who is a junior at Stanford, is at home with me after almost 3 years away. He is taking online classes via Zoom, we have converted to PST while living in MD, and it’s getting a bit cramped with numerous electronics in one small shared space. However, change is part of life and I am very grateful that he is at home, I get to see him every day, and both of us are well. It’s not clear when I will see my oldest son, or the rest of my family, but we stay in touch the best we can for now. After 5 weeks sheltering in place, every day is starting to feel like Groundhog Day, and counting my blessings daily helps to stay sane.
To make the most of staying at home, I have also joined 3 quilt-alongs, a new experience, but super fun!

This is my version of the Elvira quilt by GE Designs; it was an all-day Quarantine Quilt Along on March 22. Here is the link to Gudrun’s blog with more details on this pattern:

The beginning for the second quilt-along with Emma Jean Jansen. More details and pattern is on her blog – link below:

Just getting started on making the blocks for the Strip-Along 2020 by GE Designs! Super fun blocks to make, especially if you have the Stripology XL ruler. More details are in the link below:
