Quilt Club 2019

December 2019

With the holidays fast approaching, our December quilt club meeting will be on the First Saturday of the month – December 7th 3-5pm. Some members suggested having a celebration for the last meeting of the year and a potluck. If you are interested in participating, please reply all and send your name and a dish you would like to bring. We will likely have about 10-15 people. I’m thinking an appetizer or finger food or a small desert would be great.

For our October meeting, Carol D. did a great demo on her quilt-as-you-go method. She brought two of her quilts to show – one was 2016 Leah Day’s block party. The link is below:

Quilt Club Meetings 2019

We will be working on making 4-patches of various sizes and exploring how to combine them into a simple quilt. Choosing fabrics and colors will be the topic of our February meeting.

I have designed an optional free pattern – called Crossings – for those who would like make a lap quilt with their blocks. There is a link below with more details on this project. Making this quilt is not required, and we will be sharing our current projects with the group.
