This is a scrappy quilt by Lori Holt. I wasn’t able to find a pattern, but she offers a Checkerboard Chain Quilt Tutorial on Youtube.
This is basically an 9-patch quilt that forms a chain using 2.5″ square – 9 patches; alternating with 1.5″ square 9-patches. Basic measurements and fabric requirements will be posted this week. This pattern can be easily adopted to a single color way, using multiple shades and a uniform background. I prefer using a variety of neutrals or “low volume” prints as background in my quilts to give them more dimension and interest. If you do chose a one- or two- color scheme for this quilt, make sure to have enough variety of medium-dark prints to make it fun!

I have made calculation for fabric requirements and block count for CheckerBoard Chain. Sizes are also included in the file. You can always add borders to make the quilt desired size.
I’m making a scrappy Lap size version. It is now my go-to quilt size, not too big and not too small, but just right to snuggle under!
