I used to cross-stitch quite a bit in my 20’s. Hand-stitching was very soothing and I loved “painting” with thread. Then life happened, I fell in love in with quilting, and everything else was relegated to be done someday… The resurgence of hand-stitching during the pandemic inspired me to pick up cross-stitching again; this is my third year of sporadically working on 12 blocks in this series. So far I’ve done 8 and started number 9.
All 12 will be stitched on one piece of grey 28ct evenweave cloth and I will have it framed, when completed. I’m “interviewing” different wall spaces for placement of the final piece. So far it looks like my office will be the “sheep” room! I have a couple off sketches I picked up at the Sheep and Wool festival last year that need frames and will look very nice around me as I work.
