These lovely fabrics had been in my stash for years. I cannot even remember where or why I got them, but they spoke to me at the time!
With a few additions from Moda’s Summer Breeze collection, I designed this springtime inspired quilt.
I used 25 fat quarters of prints and about 3 yards of white on white fabric with pineapples for sashings. Cornerstones were made from the leftover strips. It has 1″ dark blue inner borders and 6.5″ outer borders.
Each fat quarter was cut into 2 strips of 6.5″ x WOF and 2 strips of 2.5″ by WOF. I used strip piecing for block construction and subcut the strips into 6.5″ x 8.5″ units. Some of the FQs were smaller, so I was only able to cut one 2.5″ strip and one as wide as possible from the remainder.
